In Classic of Mountains and Seas (Shan Hai Jing), when recording a brand-new animal, the appearance of known animals is often used for analogy. This description led reads of later generations to impose the characteristics of known animals together to reproduce this new animal, and finally producing an image that does not resemble any animal.

This analogical description of analogy between strange animals and known animals inspired me. I imagine that if there is no reproductive isolation, whether the creatures on the earth can interweave of different species, just like this painting method.

In Classic of Mountains and Seas, animals are divided into groups according to their living environment. I combine this method with modern science to divide animals with the same ecologies on land into seven ecological geographical groups. I imagined that the animals in the neighboring geographical group would combine to produce new creatures, and I drew a pattern of six different plants and animals.

Steppe fauna & Savanna fauna

The large mammals peculiar to grasslands And savannah withthe peculiar plants are Combined. And the peculiar races of the Two regions: Nigro and Indians are Combined with the local animals and Plants.

Savanna fauna & Tropical rainforest

With the inspiration by the intertwined vines, the slender And climbing animals in these two ethnic groups are combined With tree trunks in the same way as vines, and the stamens Are combined with bird feathers to produce new creatures.

Tropical rainforest & Deciduous forest fauna

Inspired by plant grafting, flowers and fruits are grafted on The same branch, and the horns and bodies of animals are used As branches to combine with plants.

Deciduous forest fauna & Coniferous forest fauna

Various forms of leaves in the broad-leaved forest are Cbomined coniferous forest with animal bodies to form a Feeling that animals wander in the forest and animals And plants are integrated

Coniferous forest fauna & Tundra fauna

"Tundra" means "treeless plain", and vegetation such as mosses and Lichens often attach to the ground. I want to refer to this form, So that plants can imitate the structural form of animals to grow, Thus endowing plants with the form of animals from a distance.

Tundra fat & Desert fauna

Taking the withered plant morphology in tundra and desert as the Change object, I combine the animals in the two regions with this Vegetation.
